CornerBarPR.com® May Look Normal, But It Ain't
- 07/25/2008

Once the dominoes started to fall into place, our CornerBarPR.com® home page quickly regained its appearance and again looks like a real Web site, and our Contacts On TapTM on-line media directory once again works exactly as it did before our four-day disruption.

But it will be a while before anyone can subscribe or sign up for a Free Trial on our site. That's a heck of a way to run an on-line business, isn't it?

This is similar to a magician's sleight-of-hand: Most of our home-page links still don't work; it will take a while to rebuild and test those portions of our site, item by item. And when you have nearly 500 individual Internet pages, what looks like a delightfully comprehensive, easy-to-use site turns into a morning-after headache that simply cannot be alleviated by a "hair-of-the-dog-that-bit-you" hangover nostrum.

All paying patrons of Contacts On Tap will be granted an extra 10 days of service, free, to help make up for any inconvenience our server glitch caused. No lists were lost; no personal data compromised. We just had a big, stinkin' server mess that has taken our Tech God and his staff a while to untangle.

For Free Trialers, well, we'll consider allowing you a similar extension, if you're really nice when you ask.

But not if you're one of those jerks who tries to scam us by signing up for as many consecutive Free Trials as possible, just to see whether we catch on. We're friendly and all that, but we're also about to initiate legal action against one of those dishonest creeps.

You don't want to be next.
