We'll Be Down for Maintenance on Friday Afternoon

CornerBarPR.com^® and Contacts On Tap™ will be shut down for maintenance at roughly 7:00 p.m. CDT Friday, 29 Oct 04, for about an hour.

In recent months, you've doubtless noticed dramatic improvements in speed on CornerBarPR.com and Contacts On Tap. We've been improving our data center and our media contact products by leaps and bounds.

Friday's change is more in the nature of data protection. For the technically inclined, this maintenance window will be used specifically to replace several batteries and related components within the data center UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system; we're also migrating servers into recently installed rack enclosures.

The result, of course, will be better, even more reliable, service, but we understand that Friday's interruption poses an inconvenience.

Just think of all the speed enhancements we've brought you recently, and our downtime won't seem so long.

Known as "Boom-Boom Barger" in Marching Mizzou, Rich refuses to answer the phone during University of Missouri football or basketball games, plays a hard-edged game of bridge, and is married to a woman he doesn't like to talk about much, because she's smarter and much nicer than he is.
